But it’s not the upgrade you’re expecting.
Days after the announcement of the Nintendo Switch Lite, the company has also announced an upgraded Nintendo Switch that has one notable improvement: more battery life.
Arriving in stores in the next couple of weeks, the new-ish Nintendo Switch now boasts about 4.5 to 9 hours of playtime (depending on the game) as opposed to the original’s 2.5 – 6.5 hours. It’s not an entirely new version of the Switch, but we’re happy Nintendo is updating the specifications to improve battery life.

Nintendo has also announced new Switch Joy-Cons in new Blue/Neon Yellow and Neon Purple/Neon Orange Colors. At the moment, it looks like these are just colors for the controllers no word if a similar color-themed Switch is also arriving.
The updated Nintendo Switch is scheduled to arrive next month, with the new models having a serial number that starts with ‘XKW’ so make you check it on the side of the box when making your purchase. As far as price is concerned there are no changes.
