Game On: Dr. Mario World arriving to mobile devices for free

June 18, 2019

New game launches next month.

After introducing the game last January, Nintendo has now confirmed that Dr. Mario World is arriving to iOS and Android devices next month. The game is based on the classic Dr. Mario game where you match various capsules to make them disappear.

Of course, Dr. Mario World has been updated to current gaming standards, including the ability to send and receive hearts where players can use it for stamina. You can also have one-on-one showdowns with other players along with online games where you can increase your standing.

Just like Super Mario Run, Dr. Mario World will require a persistent internet connection – so, unfortunately, you won’t be able to play it offline. It will be available on iOS devices, including the iPhone and the iPad and will also launch simultaneously on Android devices. It’s free to download, but we’re assuming additional levels can be unlocked with an in-app purchase.
