It features a similar design.
Rumors of a disc-less Xbox One has already been in the works in the past few months, but this leaked image may finally confirm the existence of the console right before it gets officially announced by Microsoft.
The leaked image is named the Xbox One S All Digital – and it looks exactly like the Xbox One S, white matte finish and all. There’s a noticeable lack of a slot-loading drive at the front, and while I’ve expected the console to be smaller, I think they stuck with the old design to keep it consistent on the current Xbox One line.
The Xbox One S All Digital will have a 1TB hard drive, though there’s a good chance that larger capacities will also be introduced. In terms of specifications, expect it to run the same hardware like the Xbox One S, so don’t expect any upgrades like the one found on the Xbox One X.
It was also pointed out that this particular variant of the Xbox One S All Digital will have copies of Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3 and Sea of Thieves pre-installed. Rumors also said that it is looking at a $260 retail price, which should be ideal for those looking for a cheaper Xbox One. The console could be revealed as early as tomorrow with a release date the following week.
While many still prefer the Xbox One with an optical drive (since they use it as Blu-ray players as well), some would just prefer downloading their games. If this proves to be successful, then Microsoft might make the Xbox One S All Digital a permanent part of its lineup.
