September 9, 2019

So you can prove to your friends that you are on the way (or not).

WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging clients at the moment. Part of its features is the ability to share your location. Privacy issues aside, it is simply a way for you to easily send location information with your trusted contacts.

For WhatsApp, they’ve introduced something called Live Location, which is a way for you to send your current location to your contact or group. The good thing is that Live Location can be entirely be controlled by you, and you can disable it anytime.

Here’s how you can use Live Location (note that Location services should be enabled on your iOS or Android device for the feature to work):

1. Open WhatsApp and select a chat window

2. Tap the plus symbol for iOS or the paperclip symbol for Android

3. Tap Location and you will see the option to turn on Live Location

4. Tap Send

5. You can easily disable Live Location by simply tapping Stop Sharing
