HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro: Redefining Smartphone Videography and Superfast 5G Experience
November 26, 2020

Check out HUAWEI’s new flagship.

Witness the pinnacle of technology with the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro. This revolutionary new flagship brings the best of the Mate Series devices that culminate into one powerful device that brings powerful 5G performance, iconic design, and an excellent camera system.

The HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro is powered by the Kirin 9000 5G system-on-a-chip, which is the world’s first 5 nm chip that comes with more than 15.3 billion transistors, making it the densest chip on the market. Also included is a 24-core Mali-G78 GPU which is the most powerful graphics chip ever placed on a HUAWEI device. Of course, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro comes with 5G that enables you to take advantage of superfast download speeds and even stream content up to 4K resolution.

An evolution of the Space Ring Design, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro brings a unique look and feel with its circular and symmetrical cutout that houses one of the most advanced camera systems available on a smartphone. There’s also a Mystic Silver finish (it’s also available in black) with a color-shifting design that changes in color when it is hit by light.

The 90Hz display of the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro also curves at 88 degrees to the side that makes it more immersive to look at. Despite the large screen, the smartphone is comfortable to hold and with the IP68 rating, it means you can take it out anywhere, rain or shine.

But the camera is unarguably the best part of the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro. The Ultra Vision Cine Camera contains the 50-megapixel Super Sensing Wide Camera with f/1.9 aperture, a 20-megapixel Ultra Wide Cine Camera, a Laser Sensor for superfast autofocus, and a 12-megapixel Telephoto camera for up to 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom.

Features like XD Fusion HDR Video mode ensures you’re getting optimized colors with each frame along with optimal contrast and brightness using multi-exposure editing. There’s also Steady Shot and Tracking Shot for improved videos that no longer need a tripod. The camera also supports dual video option that allows you to record simultaneously on both the back and front cameras. Even the front-facing Ultra Vision Selfie Camera contains a wide-angle lens that also shoots 4K video.

For charging, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro has a 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge which is the fastest ever on a HUAWE smartphone. There’s also a 50W Wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge for wireless charging.

Gesture Control is also supported so you can freely use the device without touching it. The Always-On Display also automatically turns on when you tap on the screen or simply by just looking at it.

All of these enhancements are part of EMUI 11, including Multi-Screen Collaboration for operating multiple devices at once and Multi Window that lets you open multiple windows for easier multitasking.

For security, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro supports an in-display fingerprint reader and 3D Face Unlock. EMUI 11 also is one of the most secure mobile platforms, where the microkernel of the TEE system has obtained CC EAL 5+ certification which is the highest level assigned to terminal-device operating systems.

HUAWEI AppGallery already houses thousands of apps including local ones in the UAE that you readily download to the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro. But in case you are looking for a more specific app, you can check out Petal Search that makes it easier to find the right app. The best part is that it doesn’t just tell you where to find the app, but it links you directly to the file so you can download and install it right away. Also included is Petal Maps that also utilize the Gesture Controls so you can easily navigate without having to touch the screen.

You can pre-order the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro from November 25th exclusively during the HUAWEI Mega Live Sale for 3,999 AED and get free gifts worth 1,099 AED and 50% off one select item.
