For emergency patients, that’s a good thing.
Healthcare IT Technology Company Health Insights has just announced that launch of a new smartwatch that’s designed to offer better health monitoring with a 24/7 access to medical professionals. The smartwatch can monitor heart rate, oxygen saturation, pressure control and even skin temperature where it can be accessed directly by a doctor just in case a crisis occurs.
“[Health Insights] have recently participated in (Arab Health) the largest international exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa and introduce our new products including the new smart watch, it was a great opportunity for us to present our services and the extent of scientific progress we have achieved,” said Eng. Nasser Shehata, Executive Director at Health Insights.
The company has also succeeded in designing a new medical system called ‘Medica Cloud Care’ which is a central document storage facility for all health services and medical facilites.
Health Insights also highlighted that its services aren’t limited to hospitals and clinics but also to romaing ambulance fleets where it can provide more information if the patient is still on the way. Doctors can already review the patient’s condition even before they arrive at the hospital, giving them more time to know about the patient’s medical status.
“The doctor can determine the devices that to be installed for the patient depending on the situation linked to the smartwatch, most of them are small and easy to carry,” said Eng. Kareem Fathy, Director of the Medical Devices Sector at Health Insights.
The smartwatch was manufactured in Egypt and has already been fully patented by the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research in addition to obtaining the CE European Quality marking, also the factory of the company holds the ISO 13485, dedicated to the manufacture of medical devices.
