The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: Top Things You Need to Know

March 14, 2021

Sam and Bucky are the dynamic duos we never knew we needed.

Fresh off the success of Marvel Studios’ first TV series WandaVision and the start of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is immediately following that up with the release of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier this weekend.

The limited 6-episode series unites two of Captain America’s closest friends: Sam Wilson aka Falcon and Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier as they navigate the post-Endgame world on their own with new foes and without Steve Rogers by their side.

Trailers for the show already showcase action similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is considered to be one of the best MCU movies. But it also proved that both Sam and Bucky have the charisma to carry their own TV show, playful banter and non-stop action included.

Have a look at some of these cool facts courtesy of IMDB before watching The Falcon and The Winter Soldier:

Captain America: Civil War villain Baron Zemo returns, but will now wear the full costume similar to the one he wore in the comics.

The series was originally scheduled to release last August 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic has temporarily suspended production, which meant moving the release date to March 2021 like the rest of the Phase Four titles.

Sharon Carter aka Agent 13, will also be making a comeback after she was last seen in Captain America: Civil War.

As you can see from the trailers, Bucky will sport a shorter hairstyle that was last seen in Captain America: The First Avenger way back in 2011.

It was said that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will showcase more of Sam’s family as well as more of Bucky’s backstory.

Just like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the series will be more like a political thriller.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be available to stream in the UAE through OSN on Friday, March 19th.
