We round up our favorite romantic movies on Netflix.
The girlfriend always said that Valentine’s Day doesn’t always have to involve going out and splurge on fancy dinners. So for this month, we’ve decided to cook dinner and home and cry out eyes out watching romantic movies on Netflix. While I’m not the ultimate expert on the subject, we’ve both rounded up some of our favorite romantic movies that you can stream on Netflix.
Set It Up – New York assistants set up both their bosses to fall in love but manages to fall for each other in the process. You know the story, but there’s something about this Netflix original that kept us glued to the screen for two hours.
Always Be My Maybe – This is a personal favorite. Wonderfully scripted and full of heart, this movie showcases the awesome talent of both of its lead stars, with an amazing cameo by Keanu Reeves.
Two Weeks Notice – Despite the negative reviews there’s something about this classic movie that I enjoyed – maybe it’s Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant’s chemistry, or maybe the amazing soundtrack by Counting Crows.
To All The Boys P.S. I Still Love You – The sequel to the hit Netflix original that was loved by many bring back Lara Jean and Peter in an all-new movie.
Clueless – It may be one of the most famous teen movies of all time, but Alicia Silverstone’s performance partnered with a young Paul Rudd somehow made us consider this as a romantic movie.
The Princess Bride – If you like knights in shining armors saving damsels in distress then this movie is for you. There’s a good chance you’ve seen this movie before, and it’s so awesome that one viewing is not enough.
The Big Sick – This Amazon original is available on Prime Video, but is also available on Netflix. The touching real-life love story of Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon was a massive hit and was even nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
La La Land – This Oscar-winning musical combines the incredible talents of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in this unforgettable love story set in the City of Angels.
Runaway Bride – While many didn’t enjoy this as much as Pretty Woman, the undeniable chemistry between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere still make this a fun watch.
Crazy Stupid Love – Steve Carrell, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, and Ryan Gosling? What’s not to love?
