Take advantage of the iPhone’s QuickTake feature.
If you ever tried recording a video while a music app is playing in the background, you would immediately notice that the music stops. This is because music can’t be playing in the background while you’re recording a video, a limitation that has annoyed some iPhone users.
The introduction of the QuickTake feature for the iPhone now allows you to capture video while taking photos – and that feature is the key that would let you take video while music is playing in the background.
If you own an iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, here’s how can use QuickTake to capture videos with music playing the background:
Make sure music is playing in the background.
Launch the Camera app and make sure you are in Photo mode.
Press and hold the shutter until it becomes a big red button (which means it is starting to record).
Slide it down to continue recording and press stop once you are done.
The captured video will be saved in Photos, and will include the audio that’s playing in the background.
