How to opt out from every Google Play program
November 26, 2019

Remove your account from beta programs and events.

One of the great things about the Google Play Store is that you are able to test out apps in beta and be included in programs from developers. I normally join beta programs, participate in events or even add items to wishlists. The problem sometimes is that that list can be overwhelming and confusing. What’s worse is that it’s difficult to go through each app and opt-out on each one.

Thankfully, a recent update to the Google Play Store now lets you easily opt-out from beta programs, unregister for upcoming events and even game pre-registrations.

Here’s how you can do it:

Launch and open the Google Play Store.

Tap on the side menu and look for Settings.

Once there look for Google Play Preferences.

From there you can choose any of the options to opt-out: Clear wishlist, Leave beta programs, Unregister for upcoming events and Unregister for app & game pre-registration.

Confirm that you want to opt-out and you’re good to go.
