When the TV isn’t available.
Despite the Xbox’s cloud streaming service isn’t officially available here in the UAE, Microsoft has updated the Xbox app so you can still stream your own Xbox library to your smartphone. While this solution has been present on the PlayStation for years through Remote Play over a local Wi-Fi network, the Xbox app actually allows you to stream games on the Xbox app even if you’re on a cellular data connection.
To be able to stream your Xbox games through the app, you would need an Xbox (of course), an iPhone/iPad running the latest version of iOS with the Xbox app installed, and an Xbox controller that’s already paired to your device. If you haven’t paired your Xbox controller to your iPhone/iPad, you can read this tutorial here.
Open the Xbox app on your iPhone/iPad.
Go to the My Library tab.
Select Consoles and select Connect.
After a short animation, your Xbox will now be mirrored on your iPhone/iPad.
You can now use the controller to start playing.
