Yes, it’s possible.

Thanks to the Data Transfer Project announced last year, companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Twitter have found ways on how to easily transfer data from one provider to the next. Today, Facebook has announced that you can now migrate the photos you’ve uploaded to your account straight into Google Photos with a new tool that they’ve released.

This can be a useful tool especially if you use Google Photos for backing up images. This new data transfer tool has just started rolling out to users and here is how you can use it:

STEP 1: Head to Facebook settings and go to the Your Facebook Information page.

STEP 2: From there you can select Transfer a Copy of Your Photos or Videos.

STEP 3: You will then be asked to enter your Facebook password.

STEP 4: Choose a destination as to where your photos or videos will be migrated. In this case, select ‘Google Photos’.

STEP 5: After entering your Google account details, click Confirm to finish the migration process.

Facebook said that the toll is now available in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Latin America, South East Asia, and Africa.
