Sony’s new in-car receivers aim to make you drive safer

Sony MEA has just launched the XAV-AX8000 and XAV-1500 in-car audio receivers, booth offering various usability features that help should keep you driving safely and in style. 

“Without doubt, the use of larger, more vibrant screens on in-car dashboards allow drivers and passengers the convenience of having the ultimate entertainment and navigation experience while on the go”, said Sanjay Panikar, Head of Marketing, Car Audio, Middle East & Africa. “Besides these, Sony’s newest media receivers also feature a range of exciting connectivity options like Apple CarPlay 2, Android Auto 3, and WebLink Cast that provides a user the power of convenience.”

The XAV-AX8000 features an 8.95-inch anti-glare display that hovers over your dashboard compatible in a single-DIN space. It supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with WebLink Cast, an app that lets you mirror your smartphone screen directly on the display.

The XAV-1500 on the other hand features a 6.2-inch anti-glare screen that also connects via a single-DIN rear chassis. There’s WebLink Cast support along with Bluetooth for hands-free calling and music streaming. It also features Extra Bass with various sound optimizations like DSO, a 10-band equalizer, and FLAC audio support.

Both the XAV-AX8000 and the XAV-1500 are now available in the UAE at 1,649 AED and 889 AED respectively.
