A couple of years after Tag Heuer unveiled its first smartwatch, the Connected is back with a third-generation design that brings a set of new features. The Tag Heuer Connected brings a classic chronograph design while offering the capabilities of a modern smartwatch that runs on a “custom-designed digital experience.”
The Tag Heuer Connected runs on Google’s Wear OS, making it easily compatible with any smartphone out there, including iPhones. Much like the original Connected smartwatch, this third-generation variant includes detailed tracking for golf, running, cycling, walking, fitness, and other activities. There’s also a built-in GPS along with a heart-rate monitor. It’s also fully customizable using the Tag Heuer mobile companion app.
You have the choice of getting a stainless-steel or titanium case for the 45-mm Connected. If you’re a fan of Tag Heuer then you’ll be pleased to know that the smartwatch will have the same luxurious materials just like its physical watches. This includes “signature facetted lugs, polished and brushed details, a graduated ceramic bezel, a central rotating crown now flanked by two functional pushers, a screwed case back and elegant bracelet and strap choices in black rubber or steel with a folding buckle.”
The Connected also has a flush OLED touchscreen display that works between active and ambient mode. When you’re using the smartwatch, the screen can switch between active and ambient so you’ll always see the time. There’s also a 430 mAh all-day battery.
