Acer updates Nitro 5 and Swift 3 notebooks with 2nd -gen AMD Ryzen CPUs

Acer yesterday has just revealed updated models of its Nitro 5 gaming notebook and its Swift 3 thin-and-light notebook that now feature AMD’s 2nd generation Ryzen Mobile Processors. 

Acer’s Nitro 5 will be powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 3750H CPU along with Radeon RX 560X graphics. It features a 15.6-inch full HD display with the option to upgrade to a similar-sized display with an increased 144 Hz refresh rate. 

There’s also Gigabit Wi-Fi that supports MU-MIMO technology plus a plethora of ports that include HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C and more.

Additionally, the Nitro 5 includes dual fans that are utilized by Acer CoolBoost technology the keeps the notebook running cool even on intense gaming sessions. CoolBoost can increase fan speed by 10 percent and can even cool down the CPU and GPU by 9 percent.

The Acer Swift 3 on the other hand, features an AMD Ryzen 7 3700H CPU with Radeon Vega Graphics with the option to upgrade to a faster Radeon 540X GPU. There’s a 14-inch full HD with narrow bezels, along with a sleek aluminum design and at 1.45 kilograms, it’s one of the lightest notebooks around.

Both notebooks are now available with the Acer Nitro 5 starting from 3,300 AED and the Acer Swift 3 starting from 2,000 AED.
