Confirming earlier leaks, Apple has officially announced the AirPods Pro, a new addition to the AirPods lineup that now features active noise cancellation in an all-new design. Releasing on October 30 in stores, the AirPods Pro is now available for pre-order on

“AirPods are the best-selling headphones in the world. The one-tap setup experience, incredible sound, and iconic design have made them a beloved Apple product, and with AirPods Pro, we’re taking the magic even further,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “The new in-ear AirPods Pro sound amazing with Adaptive EQ, fit comfortably with flexible ear tips and have innovative Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode. We think customers are going to love this new addition to the AirPods family.”

Much like the original AirPods, the AirPods Pro includes Hey Siri along with support for easy pairing on all Apple-branded devices. Simply hold up the charging case next to the device and a pop-up icon will appear to confirm pairing.

The AirPods Pro now comes in a new in-ear design that helps in giving you a more immersive listening experience. You can choose from different sizes of silicone ear tips to fit your ear, and there’s also a new vent system to equalize pressure so you won’t feel uncomfortable when wearing it – a common annoyance on some in-ear headphone designs.

The AirPods Pro has two microphones that allow it to remove background noise for active noise cancellation. The first microphone faces outward to detect background noise and a second microphone faces inward towards the ear. This process helps the AirPods Pro to focus only on the sound that you’re supposed to hear and Apple says sound is continuously adapted at 200 times per second. Aside from immersive sound, the AirPods Pro also offers Transparency mode if you wish to listen to outside noise outside, perfect when using the headphones while outside.

Powered by the H1 chip, Apple says that the AirPods Pro offers up to 4.5 hours of listening time and up to 24 hours with the Wireless Charging Case. The AirPods Pro also includes a new Ear Tip Fit Test that helps you ensure that you’re getting the best audio experience by identifying which ear tip is best suited for you.

Releasing on October 30th, the AirPods Pro can now be pre-ordered at a price of 999 AED. It will work with devices running iOS 13.2 or iPadOS 13.2 (rolling out now), along with watchOS 6.1 or later, tvOS 13.2 or later, or macOS Catalina 10.15.1 or later.
