Check out Alcatel’s latest Android Go smartphone.

Just last week, Alcatel has officially announced the Alcatel 1 powered by Google’s Android Go operating system. The device is part of the Alcatel 1 series introduced earlier this year and follows the footsteps of the Alcatel 1x.

The Alcatel 1 includes a FullView 18:9 5-inch display and has a new ‘social-ready’ 5-megapixel camera where you can take images and share it directly to your favorite social network.

As mentioned, the Alcatel 1 will run on Android Oreo (Go Edition) that was designed for devices with less than 1 GB of RAM. This version of Android will help the smartphone runs smoothly even with low-end hardware. The Alcatel 1 comes in metallic colors of black, blue and gold.

“With an increasing number of people using their phones to consume media, Alcatel wanted to prioritize features that would serve their needs best. Our customers expect premium design, robust displays and the ability to share content quickly and easily,” said Christian Gatti, Global President Alcatel Business Division and Executive Vice President TCL Communication. “Alcatel 1 breaks the mold and puts a smartphone filled with premium features within everyone’s reach.”

The Alcatel 1 will retail for 79 Euros (about 336 AED).
