Pelican’s an easy favourite for me, personally. Peli’s incredibly varied series of super resilient, military grade cases are the reason my beloved audio and camera equipment have stayed safe for many years. Their venture into more lightweight, yet durable cases with the Peli Air line proved equally admirable, and they have an incredible variety of sizes that fit all use cases from commercial to tactical and consumer. This apart from much-adopted tactical flashlights that were how the brand came into being.  Now Pelican have released a short Origin video, one that traces the brand’s history all the way back to 1976, back to sunny California and an avid scuba diver.

And yes, once the VHS is slotted in, they rightfully point put this was indeed a momentous year, one when Apple was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, when the first commercial Concorde flight took off and when NASA released the famous face on Mars.

Indeed, the best things happened in 1976….
