And we thought THAT was the HTC M9

February 4, 2015

Apparently there could well be an M9 Max. Goody!

MWC Barcelona is fast upon us, and the leaks are flying fast and furious. We’d reported, courtesy a leak from Nowhereelse, how the new HTC M9 was not going to be too different from the M8, with add-ons to its camera and a Snapdragon 810 CPU.

Now comes the news that it might actually come in not one, but three variants. The Taiwanese device maker, which is expected to launch two new variants of its upcoming flagship One (M9) (codenamed Hima) namely One (M9) and One (M9) Plus, may ship the first with a 5.2” screen, according to Twitter user Upleaks.

As per the tipster, the HTC One (M9) Plus aka Hima Ace aka HTC One (M9) Ultra will sport a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1440x2560pixels. The phone will come in two variants – one powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor and the other featuring a MediaTek chip.

According to Upleaks, the One (M9) Plus will feature a touch based finger print sensor located on front. A leaked image of the two flagships posted by Twitter user @evleaks featured a big phone that sports a hardware button. An indication that the One (M9) Plus might come with a home button that doubles up as a fingerprint sensor.

Meanwhile, @upleaks says that there would be a Microsoft-endorsed HTC Hima / One (M9) running Windows 10. The blogger also ‘confirmed’ that it would be marketed as the HTC One M9.
