Android Lollipop 5.1 update due to be out soon

December 20, 2014

New features, bug fixes and improvements.

With more than a month after the release of Android 5.1 Lollipop, Google is busy tooling the operating system to deliver the best possible experience. The next incremental update, 5.1, is set to bring various new features to the operating system.

Android 5.1 is set to bring some improvements on how RAM is managed and a fix on sudden app closure along with overall stability fixes. It will also mark the return of the Silent Mode, which was omitted from Android 5.0. Silent Mode allows you to disable all notifications, ringtones and vibrations but all alarms and timers won’t be silenced.

More fixes are due to be announced soon, but Google is looking to releasing the update by February of next year.
