Pure Android on a budget.
In an event last night at the Armani Ballroom inside the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Infinix has officially launched its upcoming device, the Note 5 to the region. The new smartphone boasts a premium design and officially joins Google’s Android One program.
Various improvements from its predecessor make the Infinix Note 5 a decent mid-range option. They’ve managed to make the screen larger but also making the dimensions smaller as well. It’s also powered by MediaTek’s P23 CPU that includes various AI algorithms that aid the device in delivering its best performance when you need it.
Here’s a quick rundown of the Infinix Note 5’s specifications:
- 6-inch Infinity Display. 18:9 aspect ratio
- 1080-by-2160 pixel resolution
- 3 GB / 4 GB RAM
- 32 GB / 64 GB storage
- micro SD up to 128 GB
- MediaTek P23 Octa-core CPU
- Dual 4G SIM capability
- Android 8.1 Oreo
- 12-megapixel rear camera
- 16-megapixel front camera
- 4500 mAh battery
As mentioned, the Infinix Note 5 will be part of the Android One program which will bring the latest (and best) version of Google’s Android software to the device as soon as they release it. This also means that the Infinix Note 5 is guaranteed to have the upcoming Android P releasing later this year.
Infinix says that the Note 5 will be available through Souq.com – but did not provide a price nor a release date.
We will update this news once the information becomes available and stay tuned for the full review.
