A new Mac Pro was also released.

Confirming earlier rumors of a new 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple has officially announced the new notebook just in time for the holiday season. Dubbed as the world’s best pro notebook, the new MacBook Pro has a 16-inch Retina Display, the latest 8-core processors, up to 64 GB of RAM and graphics memory of up to 8 GB of VRAM.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro also has the new Magic Keyboard, which Apple says has a redesigned scissor mechanism which in turn will deliver the best typing experience on a MacBook. While it looks like they’ve fixed the flaws of earlier keyboard designs, we would have to wait and see how the Magic Keyboard will perform in a real-world scenario.

The 16-inch display has a resolution of 3072-by-1920 along with brightness that can reach up to 500 nits. Along with that Apple has introduced a new thermal architecture on the MacBook Pro allowing for improved cooling, allowing it to operate at an extra 12 watts during intensive workloads.

The latest 9th-generation processors from Intel also power the MacBook Pro, available in 6-core or 8-core configurations. There’s also AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series graphics — the first 7nm mobile discrete GPUs for pro users. You also have an option to purchase up to 8 TB of SSD storage, the largest ever on a MacBook.

Lastly, Apple has also fitted the MacBook Pro with a massive 100Wh battery, the largest battery ever fitted on a Mac notebook. This gives the 16-inch notebook up to 11 hours of wireless web browsing.

Apple has also announced a new Mac Pro and the Apple Pro Display XDR which will be available here in the UAE in December. The Mac Pro can be configured with Xeon processors up to 28 cores along with up to 1.5 TB of system memory. The Apple Pro Display XDR comes in a 32-inches, with a 6K resolution and support for 10-bit color and a crazy 1,600 nits of peak brightness.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is now available on apple.com and on the Apple Store app. Prices will start at 9,999 AED.

Both the Mac Pro and the Pro Display XDR will be available this December in various configurations. The Mac Pro will start at 20,999 AED and the Pro Display will cost you $4,999.
