Apple has just revamped its current MacBook line to includes a new version for the Pro and Air models. This refresh also means that the 12-inch MacBook is officially discontinued along with the previous generation MacBook Air. There are now three main models in the MacBook line: The MacBook Air with Retina Display and the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros.

First up is the MacBook Air with Retina Display. The new models now support Apple’s True Tone display technology that automatically adjusts the colors of the screen based on the ambient light conditions. This is similar to what’s present on the current generation iPhones and iPad Pros. MacBook Air starts at 4,699 AED and is available from 4,417.35 for college students.

Next is the new MacBook Pros, which now all feature the Touch Bar and Touch ID. They’ve been refreshed to now support an 8th-gen 1.4 GHz quad-core chip that can boost up to 3.9GHz. The new MacBook Pros start at 5,539 AED and is available for 5,206.95 AED for college students.

Additionally, both the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air are part of Apple’s new Back to School promotion that includes college students, parents, faculty, staff and home-school teachers. The promotion is done through the Apple Education Store and will also include free Beats headphones with every purchase of a Mac or iPad.

Stay tuned for a full review of the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air soon!
