Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo thinks so.
Ming-Chi Kuo is one of the famous Apple analysts that usually get its predictions right. So when Kuo said that we might be getting a new MacBook Pro this year, it definitely got our attention.
Kuo said that a new MacBook Pro is in the works that will come with a larger 16/16.5-inch screen in an all-new design. Launching with the new notebook is a new 31.6-inch 6K display that was mentioned to have a new LED-like backlight design that aims to offer the best possible image quality.
Additionally, Kuo has also said that three iPhone models will launch in September which is likely keeping the same 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch screen sizes of the iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and iPhone XS Max respectively.
As for the iPads, we can expect two new Pro models to have upgraded hardware but will be keeping the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. The current budget 9.7-inch iPad will now have an increased display size of 10.2-inches along with a new iPad mini fitted with a newer processor.
Kuo also said that a new Mac Pro is scheduled to be announced this year. The new Mac Pro will include easy to upgrade components, a notable difference from previous machines. This means that swapping out the hard drive or the RAM wouldn’t require any complicated assembly which is often the problem with Mac computers in general.
Moving on wearables, Kuo said the the ECG function present on the Apple Watch Series 4 will roll out to more countries this year along with a new variant of the watch made of ceramic.
Lastly, we can finally expect the AirPods 2 to arrive this year with support for wireless charging along with AirPower, the long-delayed wireless charging mat made for Apple devices.
