Boasting a new interface, IA Integration and smoother operation, at HDC 2019, Huawei reiterated that EMUI 10 was not just a simple upgrade over the previous version of EMUI but a big milestone release for the company.

The new EMUI comes with an upgraded magazine lock-screen as well as support for colorful Always-On display. The dark mode color scheme, for instance, generates color scales with natural transitions and fine-tuned brightness. EMUI 10 also enables Dark mode auto-adaptation in third-party apps.

Additionally, EMUI 10 also brings Huawei’s HiCar, which is the company’s alternative for Android Auto. It is claimed to be supported by over 30 automobile makers and it can work with over 120 car models out-of-the-box. The new UI also has new capabilities relating to multi-screen collaboration and will allow Huawei phones to seamlessly communicate with other devices, including drones, TVs, smartwatches, and more. At the event, we saw a live distributed technology demo using a drone and a Huawei smartphone.

On the performance front, EMUI 10 takes a leap a massive 60% processing efficiency in GPU Turbo Graphics, 70% Turbo Link boosta and 20% EROFS ROM optimization.

EMUI 10 in beta is coming for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro on September 8, 2019
