The speakers will be made by Sonos.

As part of Ikea’s deal with Sonos, the famed Swedish company is introducing Eneby, a tiny Bluetooth speaker that is Ikea’s first speaker brand. The Eneby will come in two sizes, a small 8-by-8-inch model and a 12-by-12-inch version. There’s also a choice of black or a gray polyester on top along with a white or black exterior.

The smaller speaker includes a handle, and with an optional battery pack, it can deliver up to 10 hours. Additional features include an auto-off function along with 3.5 mm audio port. The Eneby can remember up to eight Bluetooth devices and you can even mount it on a wall or stand.

Since it’s from Ikea, some sort of assembly will take place – but don’t worry it won’t be as complicated as their furniture.

Ikea is looking to launch the Eneby in the US and UK and it should follow a release here in the Middle East if it’s successful.
