Sennheiser’s CX 400BT is a great wireless headphone at an affordable price

September 3, 2020

Good headphones don’t always have to be expensive.

Sennheiser is a brand that’s always been synonymous with great audio and with the increasing popularity of wireless headphones, the company has also started making its own line of wireless audio devices. With the two models of the Momentum True Wireless earbuds already gaining praise, the only thing users were asking for is some that costs less – considering that the Momentum True Wireless costs around $300.

This is why Sennheiser is introducing the CX 400BT, a cheaper alternative that costs $100 less. It uses the same 7mm drivers as the Momentum True Wireless 2 that offers deeper bass along with natural mids and good treble. Along with that, there are also touch controls on the CX 400BT located on each earbud. Like the Momentum Wireless, you’ll be able to customize the EQ settings through the Smart Control app.

Also present on the CX 400BT are microphones that aid in ambient noise reduction to keep your voice clear even when you’re outside or in a noisy environment. Battery life is also rated at 7 hours with an additional 20 hours with the charging case.

The only big difference between the CX 400BT and the more expensive Momentum True Wireless is Active Noise Cancellation. If that feature isn’t a deal-breaker for you, then the CX 400BT is a great choice. Sennheiser said that the CX 400BT will be available for around $200 and will launch later this month.
