Booking a Careem ride is as easy as asking Siri

App updated to work with Apple’s virtual assistant.

Apple’s iOS 10 finally allowed developers to take advantage of Siri, iOS’ own virtual assistant that originally debuted with the iPhone 4S and is now present across many of the company’s devices.

With this, car booking service Careem has also updated its app to take advantage of Siri’s functions. By simply saying “Hey Siri, book me a Careem,” users can automatically hail a ride straight from their iPhones. Siri will then request for a ride in the background without having to open the app.

“Our mission is to make people’s lives simpler and what better way to do this than to introduce a useful feature that makes ordering a Careem easier by just speaking to your phone?” said Selim Turki, Product Market Fit Director, Careem.

The new feature is now available on the updated Careem app rolling out to compatible iPhone users.
