Bose’s new earphones will help you sleep better

The Sleepbuds play relaxing sounds instead of music.

Bose may be known for making top-of-the-line audio equipment, but its new pair of earphones won’t deliver music to your ears. Instead, it will help you fall asleep.

After a successful Indiegogo campaign, Bose is commercially releasing the Sleepbuds. These $250 pair of earphones are wireless and is designed to be placed in your ears overnight. It plays soothing music and drowns out background noise so you can sleep faster and better.

The Bose Sleepbuds also help drown out external noise that usually disturbs your sleep – this can be noise outside your home, or even the snoring person next to you. Note that the Sleepbuds play only sounds that would help you sleep, so it won’t play any type of music.

The Bose Sleepbuds also utilize the company’s tried and tested noise-canceling technology to block out outside noise. If you have used any Bose noise-canceling headphone then you have an idea how awesome the technology works.

At 1.4 grams, the Sleepbuds are so light you wouldn’t even notice that you’re wearing them and they fit right inside your ears so it doesn’t protrude when you sleep on your side.

The Sleepbuds also charge inside an aluminum case that you plug using a micro USB port, which in turn can give you around 16 hours of battery life.

The built-in flash storage houses audio tracks that would play when you’re asleep. More sounds are coming in the future says Bose, which will be updated through the companion smartphone app.

At the moment, there’s no word on a local UAE release date.
