Can’t afford the LG G7? The Q7 is a cheaper alternative

Premium features on a mid-range device.

Days after the official launch of the LG G7 ThinQ, LG has also announced the updated Q series line of smartphones that offer a more affordable option compared to its current flagship.

The new LG Q7 features the same 5.5-inch full HD+ 18:9 screen found on the Q6 last year along with new specifications such as Portrait mode, DTS:X audio, water and dust resistance and a fingerprint sensor.

There will be three versions of the LG Q7 available: Q7+, Q7 and Q7 α with only differences in the camera specifications and RAM. Else you’re getting the same screen, CPU and OS whatever version you choose.

Just like the G7 ThinQ, the Q7 will utilize AI on most of its software features including the camera. For example, QLens will let users use the camera search for images online and use it for online shopping. It can also recognize food, clothing, celebrities, landmarks and other objects where it can give you suggestions based on what you search.

“Consumers in the market for a balanced smartphone with the latest premium features will find the LG Q7 very hard to resist,” said Ha Jeung-uk, senior vice president and business unit leader for LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “With selected features just only recently introduced in our 2018 LG G7ThinQ, the Q7 is a great combination of features, design, performance, and price.”

Local availability and pricing will be announced soon.
