Careem is serious on consumer privacy and here’s why

Customers can now book a Careem ride without having their phone numbers disclosed.

As one of the preferred ride-hailing services in the country, Careem is now introducing a better way for users to keep their privacy at bay with the introduction of a new call masking feature.

This means that when you contact your driver while waiting for your ride, you have the top to disclose your number to your driver or not. The feature has currently gone line in the UAE and will be introduced in other markets in the next month including Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

“Ensuring the safety and security of our customers in all of the markets where we operate is our number one priority at Careem,” said Mudassir Sheikha, CEO and co-founder, Careem. He added that Careem is always looking at how technology could help its customers use their servces safely and with outmost privacy.
