CES 2015: A smartphone compatible with 3 operating systems?

January 5, 2015

The Alcatel Pixi 3 will be able to run Android, Firefox and Windows Phone operating systems.

Alcatel seems to be on roll with announcing unique and affordable products at CES 2015. A new announcement involved the Pixi 3, which is part of their budget smartphone line. But the Pixi 3 offers something different – it’s a smartphone that can run on Android, Firefox and Windows Phone.

Well, let’s get the facts straight: you won’t be able to manually choose which operating system to boot on when the phone starts. It simply means that for one specific smartphone model, in this case the Pixi 3, you have the option to choose on models that run on different operating systems.

The Alcatel Pixi 3 will have various models that range from 3.5, 4, 4.5 and 5 inch models. The company also promised to deliver a seamless experience when using any operating system, which can be largely dependent on the hardware it is using. Still, with 3 operating systems being made compatible with all phone models, it won’t be too long before someone can find a way to easily use any platform on any smartphone.
