CES 2015: Acer releases their first 15-inch Chromebook

The Acer Chromebook 15 features everything you love about Google.

Chromebooks have started gaining popularity thanks to its subtle design and integrated services. It’s an entirely new platform that is dedicated to deliver everything you want from a computer.

At CES 2015, Acer is launching the Chromebook 15, which is the company’s first Chromebook. Models will be using Intel Core i3 and next generation Intel Celeron processors based on Intel 5th Generation Core micro-architecture.

The product, which will be on display at this year’s CES 2015, is said to be a true powerhouse that provides a decent a fast mobile performance. Jerry Kao, president of Acer Notebook Business Group said that “Acer has been a leader in the Chromebook market, from providing the latest in technology and trailblazing battery life to designing new form factors. We’re driving the category forward again with the world’s first 15.6-inch display Chromebook, the Acer Chromebook 15.”

The Acer Chromebook 15 will feature a full HD 1920 x 1080 screen resolution along with a super-fast SSD (solid state drive). Additionally, the body features a sleek, reinforced design capable of handling bumps and drops. All the usual connectivity options are present, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Acer Chromebook 15 will be initially available in EMEA territories starting at €329 (1445 AED).
