CES 2015: From virtual to reality

VR and AR headsets become popular this year, and it will be even bigger next year.

Virtual Reality headsets are becoming more popular nowadays with the Oculus Rift and Samsung’s own Gear VR headset being sold commercially. Even other Augmented Reality headsets such as the Google Glass and another one being planned by Sony have started gaining popularity in the last half of 2014.

We can definitely be sure that for next year, more AR and VR headsets will be introduced my manufacturers. But with various companies now planning to make their own headsets, they would have to offer something that would make the product stand out of the entire lot.

Other features could also be implemented, which could make these headsets be valuable for other fields like medicine and education. Much like here in the UAE, where Dubai Police have started using Google Glass in catching drivers for violations.

CES 2015 could see more of these AR and VR headsets introduced and hopefully it will be the start of something that revolutionize the technology and bring it into something more mainstream.
