CES 2015: Kodak building a camera-centric phone?

December 28, 2014

CES 2015 kicks off next week, and Kodak has something up its sleeve.

Kodak has been primarily known as the company that makes imaging devices, particularly cameras. While the company have slowly faded out of the limelight due to increasing popularity of smartphone cameras and other portable imaging devices, it seems that Kodak is preparing to go back to the market with a new device (which was made in partnership with the Bullit Group).

This particular device seems to be a smartphone – an Android one that is, which puts special emphasis on the camera, a camera-centric smartphone if you look at it. Phone Arena is reporting that the company will be doing “a range of Android mobile devices offering best-in-class image management software and features, along with great design and user experience”.

The devices that Kodak is planning to release includes some handsets, a tablets and a camera designed to work all seamlessly together. It was also reported to feature high-end specifications, but again with a special emphasis on the camera-centric feature. Expect the product to be announced next week at CES 2015.
