CES 2015: LG’s Twin Wash is WOW!

January 6, 2015

This washing machine can clean two loads simultaneously

‘Reinventing’ is a near cliché in the gadget world. But this one definitely deserves a peek, especially for the sofa addicts among us. LG’s Twin Wash system is pretty unique, for it allows users to clean two loads simultaneously. This is a separate functional drawer that can be fit under any of LG’s front load washers, and will handle smaller, more delicate loads while the main machine works through an entirely different cycle. When not in use, the mini washer serves as the pedestal for the main washer. The mini washer can be combined with any of LG’s front loading washers and is an ideal solution for small, specialized laundry items that require a gentler touch, such as active wear or lingerie.

The system also features TurboWash 2.0, which uses twin nozzles at the front of the washer to spray a concentrated detergent solution directly onto the clothes. A high pressure nozzle above the drum sprays tiny water particles through the clothes during high spin cycles for quick and effective rinsing. The TurboSteam feature prevents over-drying by spraying hot steam onto clothes during the drying cycle, which reduces shrinkage, sanitizes the clothes and eliminates even more wrinkles.

In terms of connectivity, Wi-Fi compatibility allows each of LG’s new washers and dryers to connect to their ThinQ app for cycle alerts and easy programming. Users will also be able to set specific cycles just by tapping their phone to the machine with near-field communication.

No word yet on when this will reach the Middle East, but this should create a big impression these parts.
