CES 2015: Wacom introduces the new Cintiq

January 7, 2015

Perfect for professionals.

Wacom has just introduced a new line of tablets fit for artists and professionals. This includes the new Cintiq 27QHD and the Cintiq 27QHD touch that now features edge-to-edge glass for the working surface, along with Cintiq 27’s new ExpressKey Remote which you can place anywhere on the screen to give more flexibility when working.

Both products support a QHD screen resolution that gives you 2560 x 1440 pixels in a 27-inch screen. The added viewing angles will let designers and artists create a more detailed large scale work directly on the screen.

The Cintiq 27QHD and the Cintiq 27QHD touch both support the Cintiq Pro Pen that lets you use the device to draw, paint, design and edit directly on the screen itself. The pen includes 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity that it can emulate the style when working with a brush or a pen.

The Cintiq 27QHD (€2199.90 Euro / £1799.99 GBP) and Cintiq 27QHD touch (€2599.90 Euro / £2099.99 GBP) replace the Cintiq 24HD models and will be available from mid-January.

Additionally, Wacom also introduced the Cintiq Companion 2 tablet that runs on Windows 8 and incorporates everything that you love on the bigger models all conveniently placed inside a tablet screen. You can also pair it with the Cintiq 27QHD and the Cintiq 27QHD touch and use it as an extended screen. All other features like ExpressKeys, Rocker Ring and the Radial Menu are all present.
