Also acquired social-sharing app, Beme.

YouTube star Casey Neistat is helping CNN market its news to a more younger audience. Neistat, who currently has 5.8 followers on YouTube, will help make more content with focus on mobile video.

Additionally, Neistat’s own social-sharing platform Beme, is being brought by CNN and all employees would be joining CNN. It is understood that Neistat will be building a new startup within the company.

CNN will also be hiring various staff that should populate the new startup, which is aiming for a 2017 launch. Despite Neistat working under CNN, he will still have full creative control over all content produced on the new platform.
