Announced in CES 2020 last January.
LG originally announced its rollable OLED TV during CES 2020 in Las Vegas last January. The company promised a 2020 launch date, but as the months went by we haven’t really heard anything about it – until now. Officially named the LG Signature OLED R, the rollable OLED TV is now available in South Korea for a whopping $87,000 price tag!
The price of course isn’t for everyone – if you’re considering getting the TV that is. Previews of the LG Signature OLED R were of course fantastic, with reviewers saying that the screen emits excellent contrast levels, deep black and bright whites that only an OLED can deliver. Many were of course impressed with the foldable screen technology, considering that it was just presented as a concept a few years back.
The LG Signature OLED R’s display folds right inside an aluminum casing where it also houses the power supply and the rest of the AV input ports. It also supports HDMI 2.1 perfect for next-gaming as well as a 4.2-channel speaker with Dolby Atmos. The screen can also be partially raised and display various information like the news and weather, which technically makes it an expensive photo frame.
So if you have $87,000 to spare, maybe you can spend on a rollable OLED TV?
