As big as an entire wall.
Recently launched for sale in Korea, Samsung’s MicroLED TV is now available in a whopping 110-inch size, big enough to be a centerpiece in anyone’s wall. While this looks big, it is actually smaller than the 146-inch TV Samsung calls ‘The Wall’ that was launched at CES 2018. While The Wall came in a modular design that required professional installation, the new MicroLED TV can be installed just like a normal TV.
Samsung mentioned that MicroLED technology on TVs wasn’t previously possible to manufacture on this scale since most of the MicroLED screens come at a large size. They’ve managed to scale this technology so it can make the 110-inch size and even smaller ones that would fit any home installation.
In terms of features, you’re getting 4K resolution with HDR support that’s made better by micrometer-sized LEDs than can last up to 10 years. There’s a MultiView feature that allows you to watch four sources at the same time, splitting them into four 55-inch screen sizes. It’s capable of 5.1 surround sound with the ability to track moving objects on the screen where it can project the sound accurately as it moves.
No word yet on the MicroLED TV being sold in other markets, but early adopters said this looks like the ultimate TV to have in your home.
