It’s the next evolution in the application aspect of drones, commercially viable devices that can tackle the challenges of underwater shooting. This Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle, as its manufacturer QYSEA refers to it, blends 4K imagery and 162 degree field of view with connectivity.

The compact, 19”x13″ FiFish weighs 6 kg and is equipped with two 2000-lumen lights and a 1″ CMOS sensor that captures 4K video and 20MP photos, from as deep at 100 metres.  The vehicle’s camera has a top ISO rating of 12800, an f/2.8 aperture and a very wide 162° field of view. The three-thruster FiFish is linked to the operator by an electrical umbilical cable, and the topside end of that cable plugs directly into a dual-joystick-style controller. Mount your smart-phone or small tablet on the dual-joystick topside remote controller and drive the ROV at speeds up to 3 knots (5′ per second) for up to 4.5 hours on a charge. Along with recording video and photos, the FIFISH can stream live video at 1080p via your phone and a free app.

Applications for FiFish Underwater Drone would include recreation, commercial photography, underwater rescue, archaeological observation, diving instruction, marine inspection and much more.

The FiFish Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle is now available at Grand Stores across the region, for AED 12,999
