As part of the initiatives set by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Holding has just announced the launching of the International Center for 3D Printing that will create an environment suitable for anyone wanting to invest on the technology.

This includes making infrastructures that will house suppliers along with support for designers with research labs and other facilities, making it easy to develop and execute various 3D printing projects. The facility will be located at Dubai Industrial City.

The International Center for 3D Printing will also include an academic sector that will aim to educate students about the benefits of 3D Printing along with support on various projects that they can partake.

This is just the start as Dubai aims to be the center for 3D Printing technology, where it was said that by the year 2030, about 25 percent of buildings in the city will be 3D printed.
