Etisalat goes all out with 5G-themed booth at GITEX 2019
October 7, 2019

The stand features technologies such as AI, Robotics, VR and AR.

Etisalat continues to be one the best stands to visit during GITEX Technology Week, and this year they are sharing some of the innovation showcases that revolve around this year’s theme: 5G – A World without limits. “Etisalat’s presence at GITEX this year is special as the 5G revolution is here bringing in the next wave of digital transformation and innovation. Visitors will be able to experience 5G and future technologies that are going to intensify and disrupt the way we live and work falling in line with our strategy and Etisalat’s theme ‘5G A World without limits,” said Dr. Ahmed Bin Ali, Group Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, Etisalat.

True to that statement, some of the showcases include a 5G-connected ambulance that can aid in emergency services along with an immersive futuristic remote driving experience as an F1 racer with VR using the 5G cellular network.

Additionally, Italdesign, who made the first flying car is demoing Wheem-I, which is a semi-autonomous vehicle that makes it easier to travel around the city for people with a lightweight manual wheelchair.

A plethora of robotic technologies is also present at the Etisalat stand. Some of these include Meltant, which is a robot capable of mimicking complex finger movements like a human. There’s also TeleRetail which is an outdoor delivery robot that uses autonomous technology to navigate its external environment.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg. You can check out Etisalat’s stand at Za’abeel during GITEX Technology Week which will run until October 10th, 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
