HTC Vive Cosmos is coming to the UAE
October 10, 2019

The new VR headset will release next month.

HTC Vive has just announced that the Vive Cosmos will launch in the UAE on November 14 for 3,299 AED. The announcement was made during GITEX Technology Week. This new VR system will offer more accessibility and ease of use to any user along with a modular faceplate that can even change the functionality of the headset.

“Since Vive began our VR journey, we’ve continued to refine and improve on what a premium VR experience can and should be,” said Graham Wheeler, GM EMEA, HTC VIVE. “Cosmos offers an unmatched experience and is also our most versatile headset yet—with inside-out tracking, options in the future for different faceplates, unlimited content in the box, and the new user interface, we see limitless possibilities for XR customers.”

This Oculus Rift S rival originally made its debut earlier this year at CES 2019. The Vive Cosmos features six camera sensors for wide and accurate inside-out tracking and has a combined pixel resolution of 2880-by-1700 – that’s more 88 percent more pixels than the original Vive.

It has a flip-up design that makes it easier to ‘jump’ between VR and real life. There is also integrated on-ear headphones that offer immersive sound along with redesigned controllers that are comfortable to use even on long play sessions. The Vive Cosmos is also compatible with the Vive Wireless Adapter in case you want to enjoy VR without being tethered.

Additionally, HTC Vive has also announced the first official mod for the Vive Cosmos – the External Tracking Mod. This was made for customers who want to continue using their existing Lighthouse base stations in different tracking situations. This mod will be available in Q1 of next year.

Every pre-order of the Vive Cosmos will include a 12-month Viveport Infinity subscription that gives you unlimited access to top-rated VR games, apps, and even videos.

You can pre-order the Vive Cosmos online at or through Virgin Megastores and Axiom Telecom.
