All the new products are on display during this week’s IFA 2019.
LG has just announced that its upcoming CineBeam 4K UHD projector lineup will be unveiled during IFA 2019 in Berlin this week. These projectors include the LG’s first Ultra Short Throw (UST) 4K UHD CineBeam Laser projector (HU85L) and the LG 4K UHD CineBeam LED projector (HU70L).
Both projectors offer excellent color accuracy thanks to LG’s Wheel-less Laser and LED technology. This new process helps deliver improved viewing experiences that ordinary DLP projectors can’t offer.
The HU85L uses a three-laser system to generate colors that enable it to achieve 97 percent of the DCI-P3 color space along with a maximum brightness of 2,700 ANSI lumens. Since it’s a UST projector, you can simply place the projector 5.6 cm from the wall and you’ll get a 90-inch diagonal image. The HU85L is a recipient of multiple accolades including the 2019 CES Innovation Award, Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award.
The HU70L, on the other hand, comes in a more compact design and offers up to 140 inches of projection with a 1500 ANSI Lumens that support 92 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. It uses four LEDs to generate red, green and blue colors along with the fourth LED to boost image brightness.
Both projectors support HDR10 and offer TruMotion technology to make videos more lifelike (though we aren’t personally fans of this feature). The projectors can also upscale Full HD 1080p content to 4K and support a plethora of different connectivity options including HDMI, USB, and Ethernet. It runs LG’s webOS 4.5 so you can install popular apps like Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube and even support mirroring from both iOS and Android devices.
