The developer confirmed it won’t be participating in the annual gaming expo.
E3 2021 might still be a go even as a virtual online show, but game publisher Konami has officially announced that it would not be participating in the event despite teasing big plans and projects in the next coming months. This makes them the first game publisher to pull out of the popular gaming expo.
Konami was originally announced to be one of the confirmed attendees for E3 2021 in April. In a tweet, they explained that due to the timing along with a number of different factors, it will not be ready to present any details during E3 this year. “We want to reassure our fans that we are in deep development on a number of key projects,” Konami said in the tweet.

Despite this, E3 2021 is still a go this year. As an all-digital event, the gaming expo is set to take place on June 12-15, 2021 and has confirmed the attendance of some of the big names in gaming that include Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games, Take-Two Interactive, and Koch Media.
