Available on the latest version of the app.
Facebook has just announced that Arabic is now one of the languages supported on the iOS app that’s available on the iPhone and the iPad. This joins the availability of the language on desktop and Android.
With more than 169 million people speaking Arabic, it’s one of the key focuses of Facebook in the MENA region. The new update they say is part of the company’s collaboration with various veteran translators through the Translate Facebook app.
Jonathan Labin, Managing Director, Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan at Facebook said: “Languages are vital to our mission of bringing the world closer together and helping people build communities. They carry tradition, culture and unique opinions, and give us the opportunity to start meaningful conversations with different people. With this new update to Facebook on iPhone, we hope more people can connect with each other in the Middle East and North Africa region.”
This brings language support on Facebook to 100 languages that now reach more than one billion users that use the app other than English.
You can change the Facebook app’s language by heading to the settings menu.
