Facebook Messenger gets a new feature

January 26, 2016

Transportation now included within the app.

In a blog post, Facebook has revealed that it is introducing a new feature called Transportation that would allow you to request a car without having the need to use another app. Take for example Uber, which is the first partners of Transportation for Messenger.

Once you receive an address through Facebook Messenger, you immediately tap onto the address and it will enable you to request a pickup right from the app without having to open the Uber app.

Facebook is currently resting the feature in the United States but it should roll out to other regions globally in the coming months.
