The highly-anticipated game will now release on December 10th.
Fans eagerly waiting for CD Projekt Red’s upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 may need to wait a little bit longer – 21 days to be exact – before they can get their hands on the game. The new game from the makers of The Witcher series announced that it is delaying the game again for another 21 days for a last-minute polish which puts the game’s release date on December 10.
Originally scheduled to release last September 17th which was then moved to November 19th to coincide with the release of the next-gen consoles, the developers said that the increased challenge of making the game work bug free on all platforms that include current and next-gen consoles and the PC has proven to be a challenge.
“We need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly. We’re aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do,” the company said in a tweet.

Despite the game officially going gold earlier this month, making it work on every gaming platform available has been the main hurdle for the developers. Even with those delays, Cyberpunk 2077 remains to be one of the most highly-anticipated game releases of the year, so fingers crossed that we’ll get our hands on the game by December 10th.
