Lenovo Legion Slim 7i: Big-league gameplay is in order!

September 2, 2021

Every gamer needs a device that can keep up to speed with the latest titles and stay powered throughout the day. Often, this can come at the expense of a portable form factor – with PCs on the more powerful side sporting a bulkier frame and being somewhat cumbersome to carry. Cue the Legion Slim 7i – an elegantly crafted gaming PC from Lenovo which combines the best of thin and light design with boosted performance for big-league gameplay.

The first aspects noticeable on the Legion Slim 7i are the blend of premium build quality, functionality and smart features. The PC boasts dual 2W Dolby Atmos speakers, slim bezels and a 180-degree hinge, which when opened, reveals a 15.6-inch Dolby Vision supported display. It also comes with a privacy shutter for the inbuilt webcam and a fingerprint reader for secure yet seamless access.

When getting down to business, the true power behind the Legion Slim 7i fast becomes apparent. The PC uses 10th Gen Intel Core HK-Series processors for high FPS gameplay, even while streaming and recording clock speeds of up to 5.3GHz. This PC also comes with 8 cores and all of the technology needed to play the latest AAA titles at their best.

Intel Thermal Velocity Boost is a feature which automatically increases clock frequency, while the powerful software toolkit of Intel Dynamic Tuning enables the Legion Slim 7i to extract the highest performance from the processors. Intel Dynamic Tuning work by monitoring variables such as system temperature, fan speed, power source, usage mode and processor state – before dynamically adjusting the processor power to maximize performance. The Legion Slim 7i also features Intel Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, for ultra-fast, low latency connectivity when competing.

Also under the chassis is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with Max Q Design technology – engineered for maximum performance from the thinnest possible PCs. The Max Q design on the Legion Slim 7i helps to optimize every element of PC performance for optimal efficiency. The result is a sleek and slim laptop that delivers rich and crisp visuals for ultimate immersion. Dedicated ray tracing hardware on the PC’s GeForce RTX system simulates the physical behavior of light to bring real-time, cinema-quality rendering to games.

Lenovo’s upgraded Legion Coldfront technology keeps the Legion Slim 7i not only cool, but also quiet. This is made a reality thanks to a dual-fan system which consists of 82 liquid-crystal polymer blades, working in conjunction with a quad-channel ventilation design and copper fin thermals to create a more efficient heat sink.

The Legion Slim 7i even features Q-control 3.0 – empowering gamers to switch between three settings in accordance with priorities such as noise reduction and maximizing performance. Legion PCs also come with dual-burn CPU and GPU support, which makes them the perfect fit for intense, all-night gaming sessions.

As any gamer knows, the keyboard is a critical and often overlooked component of a PC. Lenovo has worked in conjunction with gaming councils and focus groups around the world to understand common pain points and come up with solutions made to make the experience of PC gaming more enjoyable and seamless. The Legion Slim 7i is one such device, which features the new Legion TrueStrike keyboard for ultra-responsive gameplay. In addition to dedicated media keys, large trackpads and a 1.3mm key travel distance, the PC also comes with soft landing switches and a second transition point for a more tactile feel. For greater customization, each key is individually lit and comes with optional full RGB backlighting.

The Legion Slim 7i with 10th Gen Intel Core HK-Series processors is now available at Amazon.ae, starting from 5,699 AED.
